Red SchoolHouse: Settling The Heart, Defining Your Child

Written by Amit Sharma, Community Development Manager

A Class Above

Red SchoolHouse is a multi-award-winning preschool of choice for parents and their children in Singapore. Established in 2004, the preschool provides early childcare and education to children from 18 months to 6 years old. A top choice for discerning parents in Singapore for high-quality pre-school education, the institution puts great emphasis on character development and soft skill development with children learning important values.

In just over 18 years, Red SchoolHouse has received several accolades and awards from business organizations and government agencies in recognition of the institution’s quest for excellence. The school has been awarded Mummies’ Choice for Preschool for two consecutive years, 2017 & 2018, Best Curriculum Award for 2019, and the Best of the Best Preschool Awards 2021/22 – Best in Character Building, which exemplifies the commitment to excellence.

As one of Singapore’s leading chain of preschools, Red SchoolHouse aims to cultivate relationships and build character by providing a nurturing and dynamic environment. “The colour red represents love, and the word Red SchoolHouse stems from how we want every child and their parents to feel with us at home in school.” says Red SchoolHouse founder, Rachel Goh-Ding.

The institution has etched an illustrious journey over the years. From just one preschool with 20 students in 2004, Rachel has grown Red SchoolHouse to four schools in Singapore and three overseas (China and Vietnam) with an active enrolment of close to 500 students with 97 teachers and support staff. Today, Red SchoolHouse showcases the highest education standards of Singapore and is steadfast in its vision to be an admired and well-recognized school in developing a child holistically.

A Nurturing Preschool Environment

“Our tagline, ‘Settling the heart, defining your child,’ serves as the compass for our curriculum and corporate culture. We pride ourselves on having a true-blue Singapore curriculum insisting on an educational aspect that helps ease the transition and prime children into formal schooling.” says Rachel.

Rachel and her seasoned team of early childhood educators at Red SchoolHouse personally draw up the curriculum that aims to develop the child holistically through 5 key areas, known as the SPICE curriculum that focuses on developing the Social, Physical, Intellectual, Creative and Emotional aspects. Detailed structured lesson plans are set to ensure quality across the board. The small teacher-to-student ratio provides each child with personalized attention to harness their individual qualities.

As part of the curriculum, the preschool organizes missionary and charity projects to foster a sense of community and giving that cannot be taught in a classroom. Besides their own facilities and activities, they also invite enrichment partners who provide optional lessons so that children can further extend their talents in music, dance, and sports.

Franchise Opportunity For A Better Tomorrow

With successful franchised centres both in Singapore and overseas territories, Red SchoolHouse continues to set its sight high, spreading its child-oriented approach with the opening of more schools in the region.

Rachel and her team ensure constant support and personal touch to enable the business to grow sustainably and reliably, building relationships with every small step. With Red SchoolHouse, they have a passionate and business savvy team that understands the needs of the franchisees & parents. Red SchoolHouse is seeking like-minded franchisees to grow the brand and build a better tomorrow.
